Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist in Lincoln, MA

When a child's worries, moods, attention or behavior start to affect school, friendships or family life, a child and adolescent psychiatrist can help sort out what is happening and what kind of support will actually help.

Psych Boston provides child and adolescent psychiatry for patients in Lincoln, Massachusetts, from our office in Lexington and through secure telehealth. Lincoln is a quiet, rural-feeling town right next to Lexington, so a short drive for a first visit followed by telehealth works well for many residents.

Child and adolescent psychiatry for Lincoln patients: who it helps

People from Lincoln come to us for child and adolescent psychiatry for many reasons, including:

  • Children and teens with attention, focus or hyperactivity concerns
  • Kids with worry, panic, school refusal or separation anxiety
  • Teens with low mood, irritability, sleep changes or withdrawal
  • Children with behavior problems at home or school
  • Autistic children and teens with co-occurring anxiety, attention or sleep concerns

What to expect

  1. Parent and child interview: We meet with parents and the child or teen, together and separately when appropriate, to understand development, school, family and current concerns.
  2. School and outside input: With your permission, teacher feedback, report cards, rating scales and previous evaluations help complete the picture.
  3. Diagnosis and family plan: Your psychiatrist explains findings in plain language and outlines options such as therapy, parenting strategies, school accommodations and medication when appropriate.
  4. Follow-up and coordination: Regular follow-ups track progress, and we coordinate with pediatricians, therapists and school teams when families want us to.
